What's in it.
Everything below is built and running in the development build except where a line says otherwise. Ephemeris Lab has not been released yet — this is what it will do at launch.
Charts
- House systems
- Placidus, Whole Sign, Equal, Koch, Porphyry, Regiomontanus and Campanus. True or mean node.
- Zodiacs
- Tropical, and sidereal with Lahiri, Fagan–Bradley or Krishnamurti (KP) — each a one-click preset. Sidereal is not a paint job: predictive work, returns included, runs natively sidereal, and every sidereal result states which ayanamsa produced it.
- Points
- Sun through Pluto, Chiron, North and South Node, Black Moon Lilith (mean and true), Vertex and Anti-Vertex, Part of Fortune and Part of Spirit with day/night sect reversal available.
- Aspects
- The six majors plus semisextile, semisquare, quintile, sesquiquadrate and biquintile. Applying and separating shown in the aspect table with the exact orb, and aspect lines drawn on the wheel.
- Configurations, to the strict definitions
- T-squares, Grand Trines, Grand Crosses and their relatives are detected, named, and listed with their member planets — on the real definitions, not three planets vaguely near each other.
- Declination and out-of-bounds
- Every position carries its declination, and any planet beyond the Sun's bounds is flagged out-of-bounds.
- Orbs worth arguing about
- Named orb presets; separate orb sets for natal, synastry and transits; larger orbs for the luminaries; different orbs for applying versus separating. Editable, and saveable as your own presets.
- Event and moment charts
- A chart of any moment, and "transits now" in one click.
Relationships
Synastry
Biwheel plus a full synastry aspect grid. Swap the rings; read the grid hub-and-spoke or all pairs.
Composite and Davison
Midpoint composite charts and Davison relationship charts, saved as comparisons in your library.
Multiwheels
Tri-wheels and quad-wheels — up to four rings at once.
Predictive
- Transits, progressions, directions
- Transit biwheels, secondary progressions and solar-arc directions.
- Returns, cast anywhere
- Solar, lunar and planetary returns including the Saturn return, cast for any location, in either zodiac — sidereal returns done honestly, each stating its ayanamsa.
- Chiron returns
- The midlife Chiron return as a real return chart, plus transiting Chiron to natal points and transits to natal Chiron.
- Graphic ephemeris
- The whole period on one sheet.
- A wheel that moves under your finger
- Animate any date range over the natal wheel, or grab the time scrubber and drag — planets, houses and angles all move in real time, degree by degree. When playback settles, the exact transit-to-natal aspects for that instant are listed.
- Search a year of transits
- Find every date a transit aspects the natal chart across a range. A month at full scope — every major aspect, every transiting body against every natal point — comes back in about ten seconds, and a full year in under two minutes; narrow the bodies or the aspects and it is quicker still. Also eclipses, ingresses, lunations, planetary returns, and lunar-node sign changes — with mean and true nodes answered as the two different questions they are. Save searches; copy results or export CSV; print a search report with its disclosures.
Traditional and Hellenistic
On the chart, not in a separate product tier. The Traditional sheet carries:
Dignity and sect
Essential dignities — rulership, exaltation, triplicity, term and face — with sect and almuten scoring.
Time-lord techniques
Firdaria, annual profections and zodiacal releasing.
Lots, stars and the Moon's course
Arabic parts, fixed stars, and void-of-course Moon.
Looks, printing and sharing
- Four wheel styles
- Ephemeris, the house look. Slate, achromatic and colour-vision safe, prints anywhere. Folio, big glyphs, built for client handouts and older eyes. Nocturne, dark-native, luminous and built for the camera. Pick one per chart.
- Style editor — in development
- Cloning a built-in style and retuning its named roles, with live preview and a contrast guard, is being built for launch. It is not finished yet, so it is listed as what it is.
- Light and dark themes
- Follow the OS or pick one, switchable in a single keystroke.
- Print and export
- Chart printing with page templates, and PDF, PNG and SVG export for wheels and tables — the same glyphs on every operating system, a "prepared by" line, and an optional provenance page. A style renders identically on screen, on paper and in exports.
- Share images
- Export the wheel as it appears on your screen, in square, story (9:16) or transparent formats.
- Composed share studio — in development
- A composed share experience — a live preview that is the export itself, story safe zones, and control over wheel size and style — is being built for launch. It deliberately bakes in no headline or caption: that text belongs in the platform's own tools, and the cleared safe zones are there so it lands cleanly. Not finished yet, so it is listed as what it is. What exists today is the image export above: the wheel itself, not a finished social post.
Library, import and workflow
- Your charts come with you
-
Import native Solar Fire and Astro Gold chart files
(
.SFcht) and the AAF interchange format — with preview, duplicate flagging, bulk marking of unknown birth times, and a record of where every chart came from. - A library, not a filing cabinet
- Subjects and charts with tags, notes, search, recents and restore-from-trash. Whole-library export and import, backup and restore, and every save versioned with an identity hash.
- Native desktop behaviour
- Menus, keyboard shortcuts, a Ctrl/⌘+K command palette, toolbar, tabs, session restore on relaunch, native file dialogs, and a native settings window with presets for calculation, points, aspects and display.
- Offline licence keys
- Install and verify with no account and no phone-home. The app only ever downloads a public revocation list.
Not at launch
Astrocartography and locality maps, written interpretations, rectification tooling, Vedic chart formats, Human Design, draconic charts, mobile apps, cloud sync and subscriptions are all deliberately out of scope for version one. The reasoning is on the home page →
